Which is Better: EMPLOYEE OR SMALL SCALE ENTREPRENUERSHIP?

I certainly do think that being an entrepreneur (big or small) is better than being under someone else as an employee.
Here are my reasons;
1. Being an entrepreneur makes your potentials of attaining great wealth unlimited – that is if you are interested in acquiring wealth
2. It affords you time to spend with your family because you control your own time…unlike being an employee where someone else controls your time hence your life.
3. You can afford to be your own boss.
4. You can attain the dream we all have – i.e. FINANCIAL FREEDOM. I’m not saying you can not become financially free as an employee; but be sure it’s going to take a lot of years and being brutally stingy and frugal with money…surely this is not a good way to live. Is it?
BUT WHAT TYPE OF BUSINESS CAN SOMEONE GO INTO AS A NEW ENTREPRENUER?
Well, to proffer solution and not just give opinion which does not amount to anything concrete, I would recommend that you go into heliculture i.e. SNAIL FARMING
Here are 10 reasons;
1. It requires very little capital to start up.
2. Return on investment, ROI, can be over 1000% in as little as 2 months
Here’s how
a. A single snail produces up to 400 eggs in one season
b. In USA and Europe (I will give you export contacts; try and remind me), ¼ Kg of snail eggs (called caviar) go for 2100euros (very expensive).
¼ kg of eggs = 45,000 eggs.
c. About 120 point of lay snails can give you 45,000 eggs in one season (there are 2 seasons in a year) and a season lasts for 1 ½ months
d. A single point of lay snail costs about N200 each thus you need only N24,000 to buy 120 snails therefore,
e. You will invest N24,000(excluding capital expenditures) to make N378,000 i.e. equivalence of 2100euros in 2 months (i.e. one season). Remember there are 2 seasons in a year giving almost N800,000 to N1 million
f. At the end of the year, you can sell out all the old stock to local consumers and get your initial investment b ack.

3. Feeding in snail farming costs virtually zero naira because snails feed on cassava leaves, pawpaw peels, banana peels, coco yam leaves, cabbage, lettuce, etc. this is unlike something like poultry where feeding costs like hell.
4. Survival rate is very high. Sometimes 100%
5. Requires very little space. You can raise 120 snails comfortably at your back yard without any noise.
6. United States alone imports over $200 million worth of snails and snail eggs every year.
7. France alone consumes 308 million kg of snail every year making it world’s largest market for snail products.
8. Export market for snail is extremely large. And snail is one of the costliest commodities in the int’l market today; a single snail costs $4 each and 1 kg of snail eggs costs over $10,000.
9. There is high demand for snails in several European countries such as Belgium, UK, Italy and also Canada and South Africa.
10. Snail farming is still an extremely untapped gold mine in Nigeria and Africa as a whole because there are very few producers. Export earnings can run into millions of dollars per annum if you take snail farming seriously.
I will stop here, but if you need any more information on new modern techniques in snail farming that will guarantee you earn up to one million naira before the end of this year (6 months left), feel free to call me anytime on 07092561443. My name is Smart Okpi (Leading Snail Farming Expert in Nigeria)
